A few hours hardly seems long enough to wear a gorgeous gown. Valerie wanted to put it on just one more time.  Her sweet husband, Carson, made her happy by agreeing to do a photo shoot at one of their favorite places: Electra Lake in Durango, Colorado. It was just gorgeous and we explored parts of it I had no idea existed. They were married last year in the back country at the base of Grace Hill Mountain and snowboarded all day until their reception later that night. So, it was perfect to complete their wedding with some later summer/early fall photos on a perfect day high in the mountains.

I adore this beautiful couple and was so excited to hear from Valerie.  She was the very first person, when I moved to Durango sixteen years ago, to befriend me at school.  That is so very special to me. So, I am more than happy she met the love of her life and that they wanted me to take these photographs for them.  This is just a sneak peek and the rest will be in their private gallery.
